In 2006, Bartley Green School in the West Midlands bought 192 no. eXtreme Plastic Lockers® for installation in an outside communal area. The school understood the health and safety issues facing students carrying bulky and heavy school bags on a daily basis.

Challenge

Due to a lack of internal space, the only option for the school was to place the lockers outside. Conventional lockers would have rusted and deteriorated quickly. Fortunately, the School spoke to Action Storage and discovered eXtreme Plastic Lockers®.

Solution

The eXtreme Plastic Locker® is suited to harsh, colder environments. They can be kept outside as the polyethylene plastic is waterproof and won't rust like a steel locker. They can take knocks without denting, and are resistant to marking and vandalism.

Benefits

The combination of an external canopy and the eXtreme Plastic Lockers® proved a successful combination, to overcome a lack of internal space. It allowed the school to protect its students, without the expensive option of investing in new buildings.
